The Governors wish to appoint a committed, flexible and highly organised Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Safeguarding Officer, to be responsible for Safeguarding and Child Protection across the school. The successful applicant will provide operational and administrative support to the Designated Safeguarding Lead and improve attendance of students with frequent and long-term persistent absence, including truancy.
The successful applicant will:

The actual salary is £25,830 to £27,533 a year for 37 hours a week, term time, plus 5 days in the holidays. (40 working weeks and 46.20 paid weeks a year). The salary grade is Single Status grade 8, spinal column points 20-22, £29,151-£31,073.

The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Subject Leader for Computing on a permanent basis. Applications for both full-time or part-time working will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Computing department, including curriculum planning and assessment.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to engage and inspire students.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where necessary.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes equality and diversity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Organise and lead extra-curricular activities related to Computing.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Computing education and integrate them into the curriculum.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching Computing and GCSE Computer Science at secondary level.
- Ability to program in a high-level language, ideally Python
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education.

Teacher of History Part-time

Priory is a very successful school with an excellent reputation. The school is consistently oversubscribed yet has a genuinely comprehensive intake. The Governors of this successful school seek to appoint a well-qualified, talented, committed and inspiring Teacher of History, 0.6 FTE from September 2025. *A full-time teaching position might be possible for the right candidate who will need to be willing to teach either another Humanities subject or English alongside History.
History is a distinct subject area at Priory School which also offers Classical Civilisation at KS4. The Subject Lead for History and the other two experienced teachers of History work alongside other humanities subject areas. There is a shared working space with Geography and RS, as well as close working relationships with PSHE (which includes Sociology at KS4) and English. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach History at KS3 and KS4 and other humanities subjects at KS3, should timetabling require it.

Teaching Assistant

The Governors wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant, to work in the main school site experienced in working with students with Special Educational Needs. The post involves providing dedicated support to individuals and groups of students. An ideal candidate would have some experience of working with students with Dyslexia and/or Speech and Language difficulties. An interest in supporting students with Maths would be an advantage but not essential.
The hours of work are 30 hours a week Monday to Friday 8.30 a.m. to 3.15 p.m. term time (plus inset days). The actual salary is £17,094 to £17,364 a year (39 working weeks, 45.05 paid weeks a year). The salary is based on Single Status, Grade 4, spinal points 9 to 10, £24,404 to £24,790. If you would prefer to work less than 30 hours a week, please include this in your application.

A dedicated and flexible person to undertake the role of Cover Supervisor, who in the absence of a class teacher, will supervise students in the school or department under the supervisory arrangements established by the school. This is an ideal opportunity if you are looking to become a teacher in the future and want experience of a secondary education setting or are passionate about working in schools.
