The Governors wish to appoint Principal Lunchtime Supervisors who will be employed on a permanent or casual basis to supervise students during lunchtimes. The lunchtime period is Monday to Friday (term-time) from 1.15 p.m. until 2.00 p.m. and the rate of pay is £12.45 per lunchtime session (Single Status Grade 3, point 7). Cover Supervisor
Priory is a very successful school with an excellent reputation. The school is consistently oversubscribed yet has a genuinely comprehensive intake. The Governors of this successful school seek to appoint:
A dedicated and flexible person to undertake the role of Cover Supervisor, who in the absence of a class teacher, will supervise students in the school or department under the supervisory arrangements established by the school. An interest in education and the ability to deliver ideas and concepts to an audience of young people would be desirable.
This is an ideal opportunity if you are looking to become a teacher in the future and want experience of a secondary education setting or are passionate about working in schools.
The actual salary is £17,094 to £17,920 a year for 30 hours a week, Monday to Friday and the position is term time only plus inset days (45.05 paid weeks a year). The salary is based on grade Single Status grade 4/5 scale points 9-13, £24,404-£25,583.

Learning Resources Manager/Librarian
(Maternity Cover from end of February 2025)
The Governors seek to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated Learning Resources Manager to cover a period of maternity leave from 24th February 2025. The successful applicant will develop and maintain the school Library as a vibrant area for reading, individual study and supporting students. The school is committed to improving reading skills and inspiring a love of reading for pleasure and the ideal candidate would play an integral part in this strategy. The library currently achieves this through clubs, competitions, and events as well as a strong team of enthusiastic student librarians. The learning resource manager also works closely with the English department to facilitate reading lessons and support students.
Priory School is well regarded and is consistently oversubscribed. Our aim is for Priory to be the leading inclusive and creative state secondary school in the region, a school in which all students acquire powerful knowledge, feel a strong sense of social connection and belonging, and become ethically-aware citizens who are ready to confidently take their place in the world. The actual yearly salary is £22,314 to £22,668 for working 37 hours per week, term time, plus 5 extra days in the school holidays. (40 working weeks, 46.20 paid weeks a year). The actual salary is based on Single Status Grade 5, Points 12 - 13, £25,183 to £25,583.

PE Technician
(part-time, fixed term)

A versatile and proactive part-time PE Technician, fixed term until 31st August 2025, to support the Physical Education department. As a PE Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting PE lessons and extra-curricular clubs as well as managing equipment and assisting with school sports events. You will also contribute to coaching, writing match reports for the school newsletter, and supporting extensive range of sports teams.
This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience of a secondary education setting or are passionate about working in schools.
The actual yearly salary is £13,569 to £13,784, for 22.5 hours a week, term time, plus inset days (40 working weeks, 46.20 paid weeks a year). The salary is based on grade Single Status grade 5, £25,183 to £25,583. Please indicate on your application form your preferred days of work.
